Prescott "Preskit," is Arizona's mile-high city, located in central Arizona in the nation's largest forest of Ponderosa pines. Rich in the lore of the American West, this city is internationally known as "Everybody's Hometown."

With the gentle four-season climate, Prescott is a wonderful place to relax all year long and where one can truly Get Back to Living. Natural beauty abounds, rock and mountain formations such as Thumbe Butte, the Granite Dells and Granite Mountain are nearby, and the towering San Francisco Peaks of Flagstaff are easily seen. Nearby lakes such as Watson, Willow, Lynx and Goldwater, coupled with many forested trails provide ample opportunities for outdorr recreation.

The community provides excellent health care at the regional hospital located within the city limits; higher education institutions such as Yavapi College, Prescott College, and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and easy access to Phoenix, one of the strongest economies in the country. Prescott's resident population is approximately 43,280, Prescott Valley 38,962 and Yavapi County has approximately 227,348 residents (Dept. of Commerce 7/1/08).

Western roots run deep here...rodeo time in July, block dancing, and Cowboy Poets are just a few of the events. Also enjoy art fairs in the town square, shopping, local dining and entertainment.

Prescott is the largest city within Yavapi County. Neighboring towns include Chino Valley, Prescott Valley and Dewey-Humboldt making up what is commonly referred to as the "Quad-Cities." Its location is about 95 miles north of Phoenix and 95 miles south of Flagstaff.

Domestic and international flights are found easily less than two hours away at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). Local shuttle bus services provide constant transportation to and from Sky Harbor.
